1966 Plymouth Satellite 426 Hemi

The 426 cu. in Chrysler Corporation (MOPAR) hemispherical-head motor produced in the 1960s was considered by many drag racers, and NASCAR, to be the greatest engine of its time. It was known as the "Elephant Motor". This particular Satellite has been owned by the current owner, Troy Montague, for five years. It is a two-door hardtop with bucket seats, console and of course a 4-speed transmission. He recently had the motor rebuilt and blueprinted in stock configuration. In lieu of the originally-advertised 425 hp, it now produces 547 hp with no modifications done to the motor. The owner talked to the son of the original owner who said the car never lost a drag race in the '60s. In fact, many times when this car showed up at the drag strip the competition went home.
