1966 Pontiac GTO

This red GTO (Gran Turismo Omologato), also known as "The Great One," was purchased by two brothers for $600 in 1979. The car has its original 389 cu. in. GTO motor. The original four-barrel carburetor was replaced by a factory-correct three-two-barrel setup, which raised the horsepower to 348. A complete frame-off restoration was done in 2013 by Simerly Collision and Restoration in King City, MO. It is a very high-quality restoration and has won many awards in the Kansas City area, Missouri and Iowa. It is a car we are proud to have in our Museum for Muscle Car Month.
