1970 Shelby GT500 428 Super Cobra Jet Convertible

This is a gorgeous car, including the beautiful white interior and console. And, what makes it extremely rare is the fact that this car is only one of 22 ever made. The Shelby GT was rare, the GT500 even more so, the 428 cu. in. Super Cobra Jet motor adds to the rarity and then, to top it off, being a convertible brings it to one of only 22. The car has had an immaculate restoration. This Shelby was a Showcase Display award winner at the Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals.

The 428 Super Cobra Jet motor was rated at 345 horsepower – extremely underrated! It included ram air, nodular iron crankshaft, oil cooler included with the "Drag Pack" and 427 LeMans connecting rods and other go-fast goodies.

This car is owned by Mason Jones. This is the second car that Mr. Jones has displayed in the Kansas City Automotive Museum – a pleasure to have it!
